The Girls

Well if you look at the last post you can see that I have taken a huge break from posting. So here are a few pictures that I have been wanting to post and more to come.

March has been the busiest month so far at the Lokker B&B. The first part of the month Little Boo got to spend some great time with all of the Lokker Ladies. A. Katie wanted to see Boo before she moved to Australia so they planned a special trip down to see us. A. Katie got some snuggle time with Boo and Chibi too. I can't figure out which of my girls got more spoiled.

Grandma L came down also and as usual Boo had a great time snuggling with her and just smiling at her Grandma. And Grandma had a great time doing what Grandma's do best... spoiling their little grand babies. One thing if for sure, this little girl has no shortage of snuggles or people to love her.

A. Kelly made it down to see us too. One of the questions I had for the Dr. at Boo's 4 month appointment was why she doesn't laugh much. However, one evening with A. Kelly and she was belly laughing so hard she got the hiccups. So far A. Kelly has been the only one to make Boo laugh like that. I tried to post the video but it just doesn't want to work:(

My hubby had to work during their visit so he didn't much time with his family but I really enjoyed the time getting to know my SIL's a little better. It was nice to have time to sit and talk and hear about their up coming adventures. I don't know when we will all have a chance to be together again but hopefully it will be soon. I miss them already.

4 Month Dr. Visit

Thursday brought good news and we took our little 12lb 13oz Boo to her 4 month Well Baby appointment. She is hitting all of her developmental milestones and Dr. Bryan looked her over and told her "you and beautiful and doing great girl". We like Dr. Bryan:)

He also told Mama and Papa that she is developing great and he thinks it is time to go ahead and start Boo on some food. Since she has a little bit of trouble with backed up pipes the Dr. suggested skipping the cereals for now and starting with a high fiber food. After reviewing the list we decided to start with something sweet and not to strong tasting, pears.

Boo loved her pears and did great eating. Dr. Bryan told us that the whole point right now it to introduce her to eating. It does not matter how much she eats just that we are introducing the spoon and some food each day, only once a day. She seemed to love the pears and we had so much fun feeding her.

Mama has been picture crazy lately

Baby fashion 101. Giant headbands and flowers are the new "black". I guess that means they go with anything right? Isn't this too cute? I know it is huge and Boo will probably look back on these pictures and say "Ugggg Mom" but that's okay. While I can still pick out her clothes and get her to wear it I'm gonna make the most of the opportunity. Besides what a precious little flower:)

Speaking of fashion, rings, rings, and more rings. Nope not the kind you wear on your fingers but the kind you play with, chew on, and can actually get your hands around. Boo loves her rings. Now that she can see bold colors clearly and is reaching for things these rings are the perfect toys. Thanks G&G B for the great toy, and thank you G&G L for my super cute outfit.

That's right it's Boo's E*Trade happy birthday wish to A. Kimmie. We love and miss our A. Kimmie, U. Clay and our sweet cousin Kenley who we haven't meet yet. But Boo knows that if she was here she could lay on the blanket next to Kenley and she would be way cuter to look at then that silly Chibi or any of her toys.

Mama's precious girl. There are those moments of calmness when those sweet eyes look up at you and you know that you are holding the greatest blessing of all. The sweet cheeks, gentle eyes, soft hands reaching out for you, the quiet coos, and that warm bundle snuggling safely in your arms. And that is what it's really like to be a Mama, all the craziness fades and all that is left is joy.

Happy Birthday to Me!

A joyous day!!! My hubby had the day off so we were able to relax and enjoying one another. I woke up to a "coupon" for a Mommy Day pass to take a bath, get a pedi, and a message. Not all in one day, of course, so that makes for 3 separate pampering days. He knows me so well:) He also got me a beautiful Tea Set, that I have been wanting, so I could host a Ladies Tea. It is very beautiful.

But the surprise, for both of us, was that my wonderful friend decided to drive up for my birthday. They arrived in the evening so we had dinner and then got to spend the next day together as well. It was fun to see them again and I felt so loved that they took time out of their crazy schedules to come see me. Of course I got some attention but as usual Boo was the star of the show (and Mama wouldn't have it any other way). Aunt B loved snuggling with her and Mr. S and Boo were instant friends. He even brought Boo his "sick bear" as a gift for whenever she gets a cold... tough we're hoping she doesn't need it for a long time.

So it was a Happy Birthday to me as I was surrounded by love and what better gift can you have than to have so much love?
