Hi All!!! My hubby and I had a crazy week last week so I am really behind on my blogging. A lot has been going on so you'll have to read the next 3 blogs to catch up. I hope you enjoy reading about our adventures and much as we had fun experiencing them.

Trip to San Antonio

After struggling through a week of switching shifts and trying to get settled after my trip to Omaha, we found ourselves back in the car and on yet another trip to San Antonio.

It turns out that one of my buddies from Okinawa (on right the Okinawa crew) was in town for some training and since I haven't seen him in several years it was good to catch up. He is now married and has 4 kids, the most recent a super cute little red headed girl that I think has her daddy wrapped around her little finger.

We were also able to spend some more time with F&C and the kids (middle pic). Their kids are so cute and I can't get over how much the baby looks like her grandma, especially with that hair cut... too cute. Also my friend was so generous to give us a ton of baby stuff which we appreciate so much, though probably not as much now as we will when it's the middle of the night and our only life saver is that swing.

It's all about Chibi

Okay so my hubby and I are weirdo dog people. But when you have such a cute pugger how can you not be???

Last week we celebrated Chibi's 5th birthday. Really all that means is that our already spoiled dog gets a trip to her "favorite store" aka Petsmart and a scoop of ice cream all to herself. We took her to Petsmart where she decided to relieve herself not once but twice on the floor and then home for dessert. This year it was even better since I had made some white cake with white icing so she got some of that to go with her ice cream. She was so beside herself that she tried to go after my cake too. Then she ran around the house as if on a caffeine high and finally crashed out on her new bed. All and all I think it was a pretty good day to be Chibi.

Baby Shower

A couple of weeks ago I was off to Omaha where two of my dear friends (pic left) threw me an awesome baby shower. I was so honored!!! When we found out we were pregnant and then left Omaha I was so bummed that friends that meant so much to me wouldn't be around as I got the chance to experience pregnancy and Motherhood. So many awesome ladies in Omaha that I had the privilege of watching their families grow and the opportunity to celebrate with them and now I was moving. Immediately my friends started planning and welcomed me back to Omaha to celebrate with me. What a blessing!

The few days I had in Omaha were wonderful. I had a lot of time with Sbb to just hang out and to see her new place... she has great taste and a really nice home. Also she is so sweet she even gave up her bed so I could stay there with her. Thursday I had plans to meet with 3 friends, on at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was so awesome to have the free time to just really talk and catch up. When I lived there I always had somewhere to go or something to do so having time to just talk and listen to my friends was wonderful.

The day of the Baby Shower was amazing too. I love showers and big events because you get to see so many people you may not get to see on a daily basis but it is great catching up and just seeing them again. Also my Mom and SIL (pic middle) came in town for it. Since my SIL is pregnant to it was a lot of fun to see her and just get to talk about our babies and little "inside tips" we have gathered from our "mom friends". And that wasn't it as far as family goes. Mom Lokker, Dad Lokker, other 2 SIL's (pic right) and Niece from my hubbies side were able to come in and celebrate with us. As I sat there in the "Pregnancy Chair" at the shower I was just overwhelmed by the wonderful friends and family I have been blessed with. If any of you guys are reading this thank you so much!!! You truly are blessings from the Lord and I love each and every one of you.

Baby Bedding

Yippee!!!! Today we got the baby's bedding set and I am so excited. We decided to order it a week or so ago so that we would have it to compare colors to. Trying to line colors up based on an online picture was proving to be a pain in the rear so we went ahead and ordered it instead of waiting until we go to FL. Two day's after placing my order I went online to look at the picture on amazon only to find that it said "this item is no longer in stock and may never be in stock". What??? I had also found this set on Ebay but it was not listed there either. I was concerned that we had ordered from a company going out of business or that something had happened so I was anxious to receive our order. The company had sent us a UPS tracking number so we figured they were sending us something.

Well today it arrived right on schedule and even cuter than in the pictures!!! We love this set as it is so bright and cheery and ready for a happy, cheery, Lokker baby to sleep in it. Well maybe after we get the crib and move to FL. Now we at least have some colors to work with as I start making the blanket and stuff for our baby girl.

24 Week Apt & Random Pics

Today was our 24 week Doc appointment and all went well. So far I have gained 12 lbs which the Doc said was right on target. Whew! We also got to hear baby's heart beat which was a steady 163. She didn't like the nurse poking at her so she kept moving around and playing hide and seek with the Doppler.

In other daily life stuff - we received a great gift from my Bro and Sis-in-Law... a pack and play. Since we will be moving soon after baby arrives we are not setting up a nursery but just getting the essentials ready for baby. We were so stoked to have something that makes it look like we are expecting a baby around here, even if it is just for a few weeks. We also plan on setting up a dresser but no super cute nursery until we get to FL.

Oh and for those that love updates on our little pugger... she loves to help her Papa with his work outs. That's right no sweat on that noggin! Chibi gives a good face washing during the whole workout. Well, as long as he's in reach. What a patient man, he just lets her go and keeps up with his workout.

24 Week Belly Pics

Wow! We couldn't believe it this morning when we woke up and realized that today marks our 24th week of pregnancy. Still in the "comfortably pregnant" stage it is a lot of fun to be pregnant these days.

Right now our baby girl is playing trampoline in Mama's tummy. Especially when Papa puts his warm hands on my belly. We've even been able to see my belly jump when she really gets going. Sometimes I wish I had a window into my uterus so I can see what she is up to. Is that a hand? A butt? A whole body somersault? Are the faint movements those little hands grabbing away in there? I guess those are secrets only God knows and can see right now. What a miracle.

This week I decided to add a couple of extra pictures. Since I seem to look more pregnant than the pictures reveal I thought some normal clothes pics would help you all see my belly as the rest of the world does. Oh, well maybe not the exposed belly but I wanted Papa in the picture and also to have a record of my disappearing belly button.

Pictures and Family Visit

Thanks Mom Lokker for sending these great pics so I could include them in the blog!!! Yes, Mom & Dad Lokker came to visit us for a week and we had a great time. It is amazing that we managed to stay busy here in San Angelo without having to travel to near by towns. My hubby got a chance to use his boating license and take us all (Chibi included) out on a pontoon boat ride around Lake Nasworthy. It was a great, cooler, day and we all enjoyed the ride. After the tour Mom and I went to get the guy's some lunch. No sooner where we heading back and a storm rolled in and thwarted Dad's opportunity to catch a Texas fish.... Don't worry though he caught a cat fish the next night fishing off shore. Those Texas fish didn't stand a chance with that determined fisherman:)

After hitting the big "hot spots" such as Eggemeyers general store and Miss Hatties Cafe we spent the rest of the week tracking down some little knows spots in San Angelo. We found a Putt-Putt course and then Dad found a Modern Art museum. Though the art museum left a bit to be desired Mom found a sculpture right up her alley. Then it was off to a section of restored old San Angelo, and Ft. Concho. They brought some great weather with them so we were able to do a lot without having to face the 100 degree temps... whew!
